New Information: “Paid Family Leave Benefits”—California’s Employment Development Department (EDD) confirmed that PFL benefits are available to eligible employees unable to work because they have to care for an ill or a quarantined family member due to COVID-19 (B-15).

New Information: Organ and Bone Marrow Donation Leave—employers must provide a maximum of an additional 30 business days of unpaid leave for the purpose of organ donation, effective January 1, 2020. Employees must exhaust all sick leave prior to receiving the additional amount of unpaid leave. (B-18).
